Homeless Paws Foundation believes that every pet has a chance of finding a forever home.
There are many benefits to adopting a pet. Pets help bring families together because everyone can enjoy the love and friendship of the family pet. Pets can help teach children responsibility as they learn to care for their pets. Pets can provide companionship and love to everyone.
Homeless Paws charges a small adoption fee for adopting any of our animals. This fee helps cover the medical care costs we have provided for your new pet. All proceeds from the pet adoption fee will go right back into caring for the next pets to enter our program.
Adopting The Right Pet For You
Homeless Paw Foundation hosts many adoption events where you can find the perfect pet for you. You can also search through our website and learn about the different pets we currently have up for adoption.
We encourage everyone to do a little bit of research before they adopt a pet. Every pet has a unique personality and different needs. Knowing what type of pet you want will help you find the perfect pet for your home.
Getting Ready For Your New Pet
Adopting a new pet is a very exciting time for your pet and your family. Remember that the first few days may cause your pet a little anxiety as they get used to their new forever home. Don’t worry; they will quickly adjust and soon feel as if they have always lived there.
You want to make sure that you have everything ready for your new pet.
Some of the things you will need include:
• Food and Water Bowls
• Pet Bed
• Food and Treats
• Collar and Leash
• A Toy
When you meet your new family member, you will learn about any special things that they may like or need to make your pet happy.
We Have Pets In All Shapes And Sizes
You will be surprised at how many different choices you will have when you adopt a pet. We have dogs from all breeds as well as mixed-breed pets looking for a forever home. We have cats of all sizes and hair lengths. We occasionally have some other domestic pets as well, such as hamsters and rabbits.
It is important to remember that pets become homeless for many different reasons. Many people believe that they are homeless because of behavioral issues. This is simply not true.
Sometimes loving pet parents face hard decisions because of their job, housing, or financial matters. These are the most common reasons that pets come to us looking for new forever homes.
If you are looking to add a pet to your family, we encourage you to give one of these pets a home. They will fill your life with happiness, and you are doing a wonderful thing for a pet in need of a home.
